BENEFICIARIES
Our children at Lovedale come from somewhere in between indistinct lingo and circumstances. The children come from diverse histories. Backgrounds of neglect, complete lack of medical care, alcoholic parents and various sorts of abuse are common stories. Few of our children are orphans, but most of them single parented, children rescued from child labor, born to sex workers, HIV affected etc. The most shocking fact is that they don’t get even one meal a day at their home.
The children at Lovedale are sent by the Child Help Line of Bangalore city police commissioner's Makkala Sahaya Vani. Our youngest child is 4 yrs old and the eldest girl is in PUC 1 st year.
However, one thing is for certain, if not at Lovedale, many of our children would not have been in school.
